We are looking for individuals who will work across the M&A deal lifecycle, with specific expertise on delivery advisory services to C-suite. Our M&A offering provides the functional and technical expertise required to support the organizations in conducting pre-deal diligence and then execution of issue-free integration / divestiture and the delivery of relevant synergies. Our practitioners combine transaction experience with deep strategy and process knowledge to provide clients with the tools and strategic insights to navigate change and capture value.
This role sits within the Mergers and Acquisition team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, which is positioned to advise clients in determining which strategic approaches they will take to grow inorganically and rationalize their portfolio. Focused on delivering value to clients throughout their entire journey from a lifecycle, industry and functional perspective.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Will lead project development and delivery across M&A strategy, portfolio strategy, investment opportunity assessment, post-merger integration, and other merger & acquisition processes and activities.
  • Guiding clients on key concepts of M&A focused corporate development, including but not limited to divestitures, acquisitions, JVs, partnerships, and synergy identification and capture.
  • Performing operational and commercial due diligence.
  • Lead cross-functional project management, contingency planning, and Day 1 planning to help execute large strategy projects for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Lead corporate and private equity clients in the development and assessment of M&A strategies, potential merger synergies and carve-outs, and stand-alone performance improvements

If you are someone with:
  • Recognized degree from a top tier academic institution
  • Proficiency in Japanese language (Business level) due to regional project requirements.
  • Minimum 12 years of working experience and above of relevant experience in a management consulting firm or financial advisory firm.
  • Advanced knowledge in business strategy, finance, operations, and data analysis techniques
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel (both locally and abroad) for short-term and long-term project assignment.
