The Opportunity
This position is created as part of Indonesia Go Big on Medical (GBOM) initiative. Responsible to leads the delivery of a wide range of GBOM project related to product and pricing of Health initiatives. The chance is to grow and excel with the company within the Manulife business.
What We are Looking for
  • Qualified actuary as a fellow of an actuarial organization (PAI, SOA, IAA, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant actuarial experience.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of actuarial practice and pricing strategy, especially for Health products.

What are nice to have
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must perform well under pressure and in a changing environment.
  • Good communication and project management skills.
  • Effective command of English, both spoken and written.

On the Job You Will

  • Responsible to work as a team leader to develop an advance actuarial modelling approaches, namely dynamic pricing model, with a specific scope of Health products.

  • Required to apply knowledge and experience that will shape the team’s capability especially on Health product pricing.

  • Identify the appropriate pricing assumptions as well as underwriting needs for new business/product and evaluate profitability and risk analysis of the new and existing Health products.

  • Ensure to capture recent pricing methodologies as determined by local authority or global company guidance.

  • Recommend Health initiatives to enhance profitability on new as well as existing business based on regular the product profitability review result.

  • Supervise and train along with provide career advice to staff of 3-4 employees comprising of actuarial students and/or qualified actuary.
