As an engineering manager in the Payments Platform team, you will be responsible for developing innovative platform solutions, building & grow a high-performance team, and responsible for the overall delivery of your team. You should be adept and passionate about solving problems blending technology with customer obsession. You will collaborate closely with business and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality products. With strong prioritization skills and deep technical expertise, you'll get to pilot this team to greater heights.

The cherry on top: This would be your chance to spearhead the change and redefine the KYC ecosystem in Indonesia and the rest of southeast Asia.

What You Will Do
    • Be responsible for the design, development, quality, and delivery of initiatives for the backend engineering team.
    • Proactively lead stakeholders communication related to deliverables and risks.
    • Mentor the team and grow them to the next level of technical expertise and inspire a culture of ownership, accountability and focus on data-driven, continuous improvement and blameless retrospectives.
    • Work and collaborate across iOS and Android teams, BE teams as well as apps and QA teams to ensure all teams work towards the common organizational goal
    • Work with design, product, and engineers to bring in an appreciation for user experience. Work with engineers to scale up the systems while being frugal with the resources. Be responsible for the adoption of solutions in the team
    • Identify & research emerging technologies and define long-term engineering initiatives.
    • Develop a collaborative & innovative culture that solves business problems with disruptive tech solutions.

What You'll Need
    • At least 10 years of experience in software development and delivery, with in-depth knowledge of software architectures. Must have at least 2+ years of experience in leading small and mid-d development teams.
    • Strong systems design experience, having scaled distributed systems/microservices in products.
    • Experience going through the full software cycle of requirements, design, coding/testing, rollout/deploying best practices in delivering world-class software and services.
    • Solid programming skills in at least one of Go, Java, or similar technologies
    • Strong people leadership skills including growing and guiding your team members. Passion for your team's mission and the self-starting personality to make things happen
    • Team development skills: the ability to set a roadmap and goals for a team and every one of its members, delegate intelligently, guide engineers, deliver frequent and transparent feedback, work with team members to grow in their careers and deliver results
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and a proven track record of being able to respond effectively to customer situations.
    • A command over the technology ecosystem and ability to learn and ramp up on the latest trends.
    • A track record and passion for improving the code structure and architecture to improve testability and maintainability
    • Good project management skills to lead multi-engineer projects and experience in delivering high-quality projects on time

Bonus Points if
    • Experience with building products in the KYC domain.
    • Significant experience in designing and operating critical high-scale systems
    • Good software engineering methodology -- significant and deeply-rooted experience in testing and code quality, ability to make sound quality/speed trade-offs
    • Has a track record of working on product life cycle spanning across backend, front end, and mobile teams
