Get to know the Role:
The company is at a pivotal point in its development, growing rapidly, and plans to hire a Driver Acquisition Lead. This role will work cross-functionality within our Operations team guiding the development of every element of the driver platform including driver recruiting, on-boarding, scheduling, optimization, retention & engagement.
The day-to-day activities:
Help build and manage a team focused on the oversight of the ID community of driver partners with a primary focus on driver acquisition
Implement processes to improve and maintain efficient driver recruiting and on-boarding to maintain a healthy and reliable driver supply pool
Help manage driver scheduling tools, processes, and policies to support local Operations on a weekly basis and monitor and report on driver performance and efficiency on a regular basis
Work with Forecasting, Marketing, and Merchandising to anticipate spikes in demand, and implement plans to ensure sufficient, on-demand driver supply
Partner with our Tech, Product, and Data & Analytics teams to create a better experience for our community of driver partners
Innovate and execute on unique, out-of-the-box, yet, data driven decisions for strategies for driver acquisition and retention
Understanding, explaining, and promoting the value and unique benefits of working with the company over similar platforms
Addressing contractors’ issues with urgency and professionalism
The must haves:
1-3 years of managing teams in driver management, last mile logistics and/or high-growth start-up experience is necessary
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at once and prioritize effectively
Comfortable building structure and process into unstructured environments
Strong leadership skills, with a passion to win
Strong communication and organization skills
Strong customer service and vendor relationship building skills
Ability to shift between high-level strategy and hands-on execution
Experience managing/collaborating with direct and cross-departmental teams
Ability to thrive in fast growing, fast paced environment, which requires partnering with the team while completing tasks
Proficient in Office Suite; with strong Excel and analytical skills
Proficiency with data analytic tools and visualizations systems
Previous experience with applicant tracking systems is a plus
