Job Summary

The Supply Chain Consultant develops a thorough understanding of customers’processes and business objectives and capitalizes on the value that UPS canoffer their business. He/She creates value for customers by leveraging UPS’sexpertise in the area of engineering, technology, finance, and supply chaindesign. This position provides support to customers during the implementationphase to ensure solutions meet and exceed customer expectation


Job Duties

Evaluates CustomerObjectives and Business Needs

  • Collaborate withthe Business Development group to understand customer objectives and businesschallenges

  • Reviews existingcustomer information to prepare for customer meetings

  • Participates incustomer visits to assess current business processes and future goals toutilize department selling techniques

  • Conductspotential customer research to understand the customer’s business and maximizepotential solutions discussions

Formulates Solutions andDevelops Proposals

  • Collaborates withthe sales team to evaluate and determine costs of solutions, formulate accountstrategies for leveraging solutions, and gain agreement on established valuepropositions

  • Prepares customerproposals and presentations to demonstrate the value added of UPS’s solutionsand grow the business

  • Interfaces with customersto ensure they are aligned with the value proposition offered by UPS and togain agreement

  • Manages andcoordinates resources and activities to ensure smooth implementation ofcustomer solutions

Coordinates CustomerSolution Implementations

  • Partners withSolutions Design and Implementation experts to identify resources needed fordevelopment of customer solutions

  • Facilitatesmeetings with customers and solution experts to address project implementationchallenges and modifications

  • Meets with customersto demonstrate solution functionality, solicit feedback, and address concerns

Delivers Training andPrepares Documentation

  • Documents andreport account activity to ensure account team members and informed of thecustomer’s activity

  • Conducts formaland informal training to the sales force

  • Registers thecustomer for products and delivers product training to ensure customers havethe education and information to effectively use UPS’s product


Job Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma /Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science preferred

  • 2 years of workexperience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain and Transportationindustry

  • Strong technologybackground with hands on experience in implementation of IT solutions

  • Demonstrateability to sell to Senior-Level Executives

  • Excellent writtenand spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa

  • Good presentationskills

  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office applications
