Job objective: Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within as assigned territory and market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and related services. Personally contacts and secures new business customers. Ensure the SMN-div business run properly and in line with group direction
Key responsibilities Department Related: Sales planning and target realisation for SMN- div products. Established, develops, maintains and creates new business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business chances. Assign sales targets (qty and value) for each Area Sales Manager, monitoring progress, coordinating action plan and directing the sales team to achieve the target Maintain close contact with end-users, machinery agents, buying houses and conduct product seminars / presentations. Collection of need based market information and preparation of market studies from time to time including understanding of market , share of each competitor and the market developments. Carry out customer satisfaction audit through annual surveys and take needful actions to increase customer satisfaction level for SMN-Div product group. Handling advertising and sale promotion activities including budget preparation. Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential. Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints. Analyzes the territory’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services Training & Development and Appraisal Related: Responsible for supervision, development and appraisal / counselling of sales staff SMN div including their evaluation and monitoring. Planning and conducting training programme and product related seminar for staff and customers. Counselling of staff on job related matters, career growth in the organisation, policy matters and on personal matters to keep them motivated. Coordination: Coordinate the activities of entire sales team in line with policies of the company and towards the goal of organisation. Coordinating the activities related to GB brand(s) promotion. Coordinating with trade media and exhibition agencies for advertising and publicity Coordinating with other departments, namely Accounts, Logistics, Purchase in regard to day to day and other policy related matters. Additional: Secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a structured sales process ISP and as well relationship-based approach Expansion of market share Explains Groz-Beckert’s products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs Man power planning Other sales administration related activities Ensure disciplined working with compliance of company rules and regulations within department and reporting to Administration department if deviations noticed anywhere else in the organisation. Ensure adherence to company’s safety and security guidelines / norms. Ensure good house keeping and cleanliness in the department and at work place Support from colleague during his/her absence: SMN sales and Internal sales
